Super hair removal – Be hair free before summer at The Banwell Clinic

SHR stands for Super Hair Removal.

SHR works by gradually heating the dermis to a temperature that effectively damages the hair follicles and stops re-growth in the area we treat. It causes minimal injury to the surrounding tissue. A high repetition rate of short pulses are delivered deep into the dermis, achieving high average power and therapeutically effective heat build-up, with virtually no pain.

A number of areas may be treated including the face, lip, chin, underarms, arms, chest, abdomen, back, bikini line including Brazilian and Hollywood, legs, feet and toes.

All body hair follows a cycle of growth and renewal of around 4-6 weeks . Only at certain points during the cycle will hair respond to treatment. For this reason generally a course of six – eight treatments is needed to ensure that all the hairs have a minimal chance of re-growth.

Now is the perfect time to start your course of treatments so you can be hair free before the summer holidays!  It is best to have all treatment before you go on holiday if you are planning on having a course as you have to stay out of the sun 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after your treatment, but don’t worry if this is not possible we can work around it!
