Increasingly, many of those who have had tattoos may regret their decision and decide to remove them. There are essentially two methods to remove tattoos: either by laser or surgical excision. Here at the Banwell Clinic we specialise in surgical removal of tattoos. We attract patients from all over the country and Europe and have featured in The Independent newspaper. This may usually be performed under local anaesthetic and repeated excisions (serial excision) utilise the natural elasticity within the skin to allow eventual removal to leave a straight line scar.
